The second International Conference on Biosafety & Biosecurity was organized at Nabab Nawab Ali Chowdhury Senate Bhaban, University of Dhaka on 7-8 December 2016. Biosafety Office of icddr,b, Disease Control Division of Directorate General of Health Services, in association with Universities and Medical Colleges using the platform of Bangladesh Biosafety and Biosecurity Association (BBBA) is organizing this conference. The program is supported by Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), Atlanta and Biosecurity Engagement Program (BEP) of the United States Department of State. Honorable Minister Mr Mohammed Nasim, MP, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh graced the inaugural session as the Chief Guest. Honorable Mayors of Dhaka North City Corporation, Mr Annisul Huq graced the inaugural session as Special Guests. Professor Dr John David Clemens, Executive Director of icddr,b, graced the occasion as a Guest of Honor.
