AMRLNB
AMRLNB
This is a collaborative initiative aimed at combating antimicrobial resistance (AMR). It focuses on enhancing and sustaining laboratory capacity and surveillance to better understand and address AMR threats following biosafety and biosecurity guidelines and biorisk management standards. The aspects of the network are:
Purpose
· The AMRLNB aims to improve the detection and reporting of antimicrobial resistance in pathogens.
· It supports public health efforts to monitor and respond to AMR trends.
Structure
· The network consists of various laboratories across different sectors, Human Health (HH), Animal Health (AH), Environmental Health (EH), and Aquatic Health (AqH), on One Health platform.
· It facilitates collaboration among laboratories to share data, resources, and best practices on One Health platform.
Activities
· Conducts training and capacity-building for laboratory personnel.
· Engages in research to develop new methods for detecting and combating AMR.
· Organize seminar/workshop/conference on One Health Platform.
Impact
· Helps inform public health policies and interventions to reduce the spread of resistant infections.
· Aims to enhance global health security by addressing AMR challenges effectively.
· Supports ultimate containment of AMR
